About Our Class
Welcome to Room 1 at Eagle Point Primary School! The beginning years of a child’s school education are a significant and magical time of every child’s life. In Room 1 we begin, consolidate and extend every child’s individual learning. Our class this year consists of 22 students in a Prep/Grade 1 class.

The Prep and Grade 1 focus is on the core skills of Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science, Art and P.E. The emphasis is on learning through a combination of structured discovery and play, verbal and visual communication skills and allows for study of personal interests. Children are given daily opportunities to learn and practise Literacy and Numeracy skills in a challenging and supportive environment. In Reading, Writing and Numeracy children are supported and encouraged to identify personal goals. Lessons are tailored to student’s needs and achievements are celebrated!

You will find us in the Blue Room, feel free to join us at any time. The door will always be open and we love visitors!

About Our Class
Welcome to Room 2 at Eagle Point Primary School. We are a busy bunch of 22 Prep/Grade 1 students.

This term we are settling into the routines of school and spending lots of time exploring new concepts and learning. We especially look forward to P.E. and Art on Tuesday and Science on Thursday. We enjoy brain breaks participating to Go Noodle videos as well as games outside on Thursdays with the other Prep/1 class!

The early years of Primary School focus around the core skills of Reading, Writing, Spelling, Mathematics, Science, Physical Education, Art and Social Skills. We work very hard to ensure that learning is targeted to each child’s individual needs and that they are able to work within a group with similar learning needs. We thoroughly enjoy celebrating success within learning and Quality Learning is recognised school wide each week.

We welcome visitors and helpers within our class and can be found in the orange room, we would love to see you!

About Our Class
Welcome to Room 3 at Eagle Point Primary School! We are very lucky to have a lovely class of 24 Grade 3/4 students.

Our classroom is a happy, supportive, challenging learning environment where students are able to explore, be creative and achieve success. As a class we have expectations that are based around our school values of Respect, Responsibility, Care, Commitment and Inclusiveness.

These expectations guide us in our classroom to be the best learners and people we can be. In addition to this we have a focus on quality work. Students develop a list of ideas of what quality work is, based around what the word ‘QUALITY’ means to them.

In Term 4, we will be working on re-establishing classroom routines and expectations. We will be working on individual learning goals in Reading. In Writing, we will be  focusing on Narrative and Transactional writing genres. In Spelling, we will be focusing on spelling all of the 300 most commonly used words, 500 Oxford words and continuing with our whole school Soundwaves Program. In Mathematics, we will be focusing on fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and problem solving.

Remember the door is always open!

About Our Class
Welcome to the Grade 5/6 at Eagle Point Primary School. The Grade 2 class consists of 22 students and Mrs. Langley and Miss Gray are our teachers.

Being a senior student at Eagle Point Primary School is a rewarding and opportunity filled experience. There is an expectation that all senior students will take part in leadership roles in some form throughout the school year. A big focus is on the students becoming independent learners and taking responsibility for making opportunities for themselves. In this becomes the role of being a good role model for our future senior students. At Eagle Point Primary School our students are fortunate to experience many interesting learning opportunities. Not only are they provided a curriculum that is needs fulfilling, engaging and targets their individual level, they have opportunities to be a part of a ‘Quality’ classroom and develop and display their leadership skills.

We see our classroom as a happy, supportive, challenging learning environment where students are able to explore, be creative and achieve success. As a class we have decided on some Expectations that are based around our school values of Respect, Responsibility, Care, Commitment and Inclusiveness. These Expectations will guide us in our classroom to be the best learners and people we can be.

The students in Grade 5/6 will be attending an amazing camp to Ballarat at the start of this year and will also have other opportunities to take part in leadership activities outside of the school as the year progresses.

Students are required to complete homework tasks each week. This will come in various forms including daily reading, spelling words, research, discussions, projects, pre-learning and other Literacy and Numeracy activities that directly relate to what we are doing in class at the time. The year has already been very exciting as the students have settled in, built new relationships and re-connected with old friends from their classroom and across the school. We all look forward to working together and enjoying the learning, challenges and of course fun! Feel free to drop in anytime.

About Our Class
Welcome to Room 7 at Eagle Point Primary School. Our Grade 2 class consists of 22 students.

At Eagle Point Primary School our students are fortunate to experience many interesting learning opportunities. Not only are they provided a curriculum that is needs fulfilling, engaging and targets their individual level, they have opportunities to be a part of a ‘Quality’ classroom and develop as a whole child.

Each week the students in our Grade visit the Art Room, Science Room with Mrs Gilbert and have fun in Physical Education with Mrs Simpson. We see our classroom as a happy, supportive, challenging learning environment where students are able to explore, be creative and achieve success.

As a class we will decide on some Expectations that are based around our school values of Respect, Responsibility, Care, Commitment and Inclusiveness that encompass our school rights, ‘Every child has the right to Learn, Be Safe, Belong, Have Fun. These Expectations will guide us in our classroom to be the best learners and community members we can be. The students will be learning how to become independent, self motivated, driven learners. This will include them learning how to take responsibility for their learning, choices and making opportunities for themselves.

It is an expectation that all Grade 2 students will complete home learning tasks daily. This will include nightly reading, including reading words and spelling practice.

Grade 2 is an extremely exciting year! The students get to experience their first camp (a sleep over at school) and also attend an excursion to either Cape Conran, Buchan Caves or The Melbourne Zoo.

To begin the year, our BIG focus is for students to feel comfortable in their new environment, build relationships with new students and re-connect with old friends, learn to work together and settle in.

Wishing you all a wonderful new year and I am looking forward to working together and enjoying the learning, challenges and of course fun along the way!

Feel free to drop in anytime, we love visitors and extra helpers!
